Pelita Kaki
A devotional site in Indonesian. Every reading begins with a passage of Scripture, and the whole archive is arranged in the order of the books of the Bible.

“Firman-Mu itu pelita bagi kakiku, dan terang bagi jalanku.” — Mazmur 119:105
Pelita Kaki is a devotional site written in Indonesian, published at pelitakaki.com. Each entry opens with a passage of Scripture and stays with it — reading it closely, drawing out what it means, and ending somewhere practical. The first reading went up in October 2021, and more have followed since — written when one comes, not to a schedule.

The passage comes first
Every reading is anchored to a text, so the text leads. Before any commentary, the passage itself is set out in full and given room. Supporting verses quoted along the way are lifted out of the paragraphs as well, so a reader can follow the argument through Scripture rather than hunting for it inside the prose.

Arranged by the books of the Bible
Most sites of this kind are a stream sorted by date, which suits the day it was written and nothing after. Here the readings are grouped the way the Bible itself is ordered — Taurat, Sejarah, Mazmur & Hikmat, Nabi-nabi, Injil, and Kisah Rasul & Surat. Someone working through one book can stay in it, and a reading from four years ago is as easy to reach as today's.

In every list, each entry carries the book and chapter it comes from — so it is clear at a glance where a reading sits before opening it.

Made to be read
The type is set for long reading on a screen, the page follows whichever appearance the device is set to, and there is nothing on it competing with the words. Free to read, with no account to create.
New readings appear at pelitakaki.com as they are written.
