Indonesia has one of the largest textile industries in the world. Today that industry faces stiff competition from countries like China and India. Globalization has reached the sector, but Indonesia isn't yet ready to compete — not least because of the repeated economic crises the country has weathered.

Textile.web.id is a portal built to help bridge that gap. The first step in its strategy is to serve as an informational textile portal for Indonesia. Once the industry shakes off its lethargy, we'll grow it into the next stages — B2B, a marketplace, B2C, and so on. Our goal is to encourage technology transfer and open up a wider global market with the right solutions.
